Time to pack your bags and ride the waves because Siargao just ranked as one the most budget-friendly travel spots in Asia.
Travel platform Agoda’s booking data from June 15 to July 7 reveals that Siargao, a surf paradise, is the fourth most affordable destination among nine Asian hotspots, with room rates averaging just Php3,323 for August and September, according to Rappler.
Leading the pack is Hat Yai in Thailand, where a night costs as low as Php2,099. Following close behind is Yogyakarta in Indonesia at Php2,215.
Other spots where Pinoy travelers can stretch their peso include Kuching in Malaysia, Dalat in Vietnam, Narita in Japan, Goa in India, Taichung in Taiwan, and Busan in South Korea.
But Siargao isn’t just easy on the wallet—it’s famous for its world-class waves, chill community vibes, and cozy local cafes and bars. It recently topped Lonely Planet’s list of the best places to visit in Southeast Asia, outshining six other destinations.
