All you need is imagination and resourcefulness to become a true fashionista. This was what Mommy Rochelle showcased when she dressed up her daughter Eunice in her own version of Heart Evangelista’s head-turning P30-million outfit worn during the GMA Gala, using nothing but recycled materials.
In her viral video, Mommy took her viewers behind the scenes of her fab makeover, using recycled glossy folders for the beadwork and repurposing old dresses as the gown’s base. With a trusty glue gun, she attached her makeshift beads, admitting it was a long and tedious process.
“Ala ay patigasan din ng likod ito kaya nilapag ko na para malawak ang lugar sa pagdidikit,” she said sometime after when she needed to stretch her back from the strain.
To make it easier for her daughter to wear the gown, she incorporated Velcro and garters for convenience.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, she crafted her version of Heart’s serpentine diamond accessories using rubber snakes painted gold. The rubber snakes were conveniently recycled from a previous Valentina costume. Even the diamond finishes got a second life from a previous costume.
Mommy Rochelle did not forget to create a matching bag for Eunice by wrapping an old makeup case with the remaining glossy folder material.
This wasn’t the first time Mommy Rochelle dressed up her cute baby in celebrity fashion. She also did a version of Marian Rivera’s Super Inday.
