There’s one more reason to stan American crooner John Legend, apart from his smooth vocals and award-winning performances. The singer has actually founded a brand of pet food and is making sure strays and animals in Long Beach, California will not go hungry.
In a recent move, Legend opened a pet food pantry for the homeless so that they can also feed the animals that they are caring for on the streets.

In the US, food pantries are organized by charities and volunteer groups to help the needy but this is perhaps, the first time that charity extends to the animals as well.
According to the singer, many people who are experiencing homelessness find comfort and companionship in animals so it is an integral part of their well-being.
“When we think about people who are experiencing homelessness, a lot of times they are thought of as a problem or as an eyesore or something that is a blight on the city,” said Legend in a Long Beach Post News report.
“But they’re human beings and they need love, they need care and they need all the help we can afford to give them. And one of the things that helps them so much is having their little fur friends,” he added.
