While her Grand Slam debut remained elusive after a loss to Romania’s Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the US Open women’s qualifiers, Pinay tennis sensation Alex Eala still had a major win off the court: meeting none other than the icon and OG tennis legend herself, Billie Jean King.
In a Facebook post, Alex shared her once-in-a-lifetime moment with the founder of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and former world No. 1 tennis player. “Met the woman who started it all,” Alex captioned her post.
The post also included a snapshot of a personalized letter from Billie, thanking Alex for her participation in the WTA tournaments and expressing excitement for her future.
