June Mar Fajardo, known for his seven MVP titles and 10 championships with the San Miguel Beermen, has earned a spot on ESPN’s exclusive list of the Top 25 Asian Athletes of the 21st Century, making him not just the GOAT of Philippine basketball, but perhaps a legend across Asia.
Ranked 25th, June Mar joins the elite list with fellow Pinoy icons like boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, who ranked first, and Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, in 19th place.
“Fajardo’s consistent excellence and influence on Philippine basketball underscore his significant impact on the sport that Filipinos love,” said ESPN.
