Pop icon Taylor Swift just proved once again that her heart is as big as her hits after quietly donating $100,000 (Php5.8 million) to help a toddler battling stage 4 brain cancer, and her fans are following her lead. Within 24 hours, Swifties nearly matched their idol’s generous donation.
Two-year-old Lilah Smoot’s parents launched an online fundraiser back in March. Seven months later, on October 17, they were stunned to discover that THE Taylor Swift had made a massive contribution.

“I cannot say thank you enough. I’m truly in shock. This means we don’t have to worry about anything other than Lilah. Truly such a blessing. Thank you, @TaylorSwift,” Lilah’s mom, Katelynn, said in a TikTok post.

The Smoot family shares updates about Lilah’s recovery through their TikTok account, @standwithlilah, which Katelynn uses as a personal diary to cope with the challenges of her daughter’s treatment.
She admitted that she was surprised to receive the donation from Swift but was sure it was the pop star at work because no one simply drops a $100,000 donation like that.
Swift even dropped a sweet note to Lilah along with her donation, showing once again her signature kindness toward people and causes close to her heart.
As a Swiftie herself, Katelynn said the donation felt extra special. And now the entire Swiftie community is making sure her family receives all the love and support they need.
@standwithlilah Every time I open my phone, I cry. Thank you all so much! You have absolutely no idea what this means to us!
