Filipino-American actor Nico Santos, who is best known for playing a Filipino character in NBC’s “Superstore” will get a chance to represent Pinoys in the US once again as a guest in NBC’s new mockumentary series “St. Denis Medical.”
After ruling as Mateo Liwanag in “Superstore” and going viral for his Tagalog curse off with his co-star in a scene from the show, he will play Rene on “St. Denis Medical,” another Pinoy-coded character who is the leader of a clique of registered nurses in the hospital.
St. Denis Medical is a new mockumentary that follows doctors, nurses, and staff at a busy Oregon hospital, and fans well lauded Mateo’s addition as a guest as it gives American hospitals a more realistic look.
