Still a winner! ABS-CBN continues to dominate with epic storytelling and star power 4 years after going off-air

ABS-CBN continues to lead with its compelling content and talent development even after going off the air four years ago.

Despite losing its top spot in Philippine media after its franchise was revoked four years ago, ABS-CBN is still a powerhouse in storytelling and talent development.

ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak gave a fitting shoutout to his team for their dedication to crafting compelling stories for their audience. While he acknowledged the struggles that the network faced, he emphasized the Kapamilyas’ perseverance, resilience, and excellence.

Katigbak also celebrated ABS-CBN’s killer achievements since being booted off air during President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.

The list is impressive: “Rewind” smashed records to become a top-grossing film, “Batang Quiapo” continues to dominate primetime ratings, “It’s Showtime” owns the noontime slot, “Linlang” is a hit on Amazon Prime, and BINI has become a breakout pop sensation, taking the two top spots for most streamed music on Spotify.

Katigbak said that ABS-CBN’s success is built on great storytelling talent—from writing, acting, directing, producing, journalism, and music. He credited his team for their passion for meaningful narratives and public service, calling them the heart and soul of ABS-CBN.
