Squad Goals! ‘Lord of the Rings’ cast have a mini-reunion at a London pub

Over two decades after the first Lord of the Rings film was shown, cast members prove that the friendship built on set lasts a lifetime.

For over 20 years since the first “Lord of the Rings” movie came out, cast members have made it a point to meet up and catch up on life like a tradition. There have been countless sightings of the four hobbits Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Sam Gamgee), Billy Boyd (Pippin), and Dominic Monaghan (Merry) having a meal together.

This time around, in the absence of Sean Astin, the hobbits seemed to have recruited the elf Legolas (Orlando Bloom) to join in their get-together.

The four friends surprised the diners at a London pub when they strolled into the Belzan Bistro last Friday.

But while it seemed like Sean Astin was a no-show at the bar, he was able to catch up with the squad at a later time as Dominic Monaghan updated his Instagram account with a follow-up post.

The gang was in London to attend the Comic Con event at Exhibition Centre Liverpool where Andy Serkis (Gollum) was also scheduled to join.

According to the BBC report, the LOTR cast members were really great guys who simply hung out to share a laugh.
