San Miguel Corporation waives toll fees at expressways it operates for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is giving motorists the ultimate holiday treat: free toll fees on select expressways this Christmas and New Year!

In a Facebook post, SMC announced that toll fees will be waived on the Skyway System, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway, and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) from 10 p.m. on December 24 to 6 a.m. on December 25, and from 10:00 p.m. on December 31 to 6:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025.

“This is our way of saying thank you to everyone who uses the expressways we operate,” said SMC Chair Ramon S. Ang.

“It’s something we look forward to every year because it helps thousands of motorists get home to their families a little easier, especially during Christmas and New Year,” he added.

Aside from waiving toll fees, SMC is taking extra steps to ensure smooth travel for motorists. Starting at noon on December 20, additional expressway patrollers, security personnel, and emergency response teams will be deployed in critical areas.

Tow trucks and other emergency vehicles will also be stationed at strategic locations for quick incident response.

Traffic monitoring centers at each of the expressways will operate 24/7 to oversee vehicle flow, while all roadworks that may disrupt traffic will be suspended from noon of December 20, up to January 3, 2025.

“We advise them to plan their trips ahead and allot more time for travel, to make sure they arrive at their destinations on time,” said SMC.
