San Mig rookie Kyt Jimenez loses long locks but gets championship ring—the story behind the haircut deal!

San Miguel Beermen rookie Kyt Jimenez had his long hair cut as part of his deal with 7-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo if they win a championship.

In a thrilling Game 6 showdown against the Magnolia Hotshots, the San Miguel Beermen clinched their league-record 29th championship in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

While the entire team was on cloud nine, rookie sensation Kyt Jimenez stole the spotlight with his post-win transformation.

Just months ago, Kyt was known as a YouTube basketball sensation playing basketball wherever his feet would take him and his Mavs Phenomenal touring basketball team, but now he’s a PBA champ.

But here’s a catch: Kyth had to say goodbye to his long locks, which had become his trademark look. It turns out he struck a deal with none other than PBA MVP and Beermen superstar June Mar Fajardo to chop his hair once they clinch a championship.

As the moment the victory was sealed, Kyt wasted no time and sat right down as June Mar took the clippers to his mane in front of the whole team in the locker room, capturing the epic moment on social media.

In an interview with GMA News, Kyt revealed the extent of his sacrifice, pointing to where the shears took their toll: “Sobrang haba ng ginupit. Mula dito,” said Kyt while pointing to the middle of his back.

But a deal’s a deal. “Naging deal namin yun, basta mag champion, automatic putol,” he shared.
