Ready for La Niña! Mapua University, DOST inilunsad ang 24/7 weather monitoring system

WEHLO, isang localized weather information and impact monitoring system, inilunsad bilang paghahanda sa La Niña.

Pinaghahandaan na ng Mapua University, katuwang ang Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and  Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) ang nakaambang na banta ng La Niña matapos nilang ilunsad ang 24/7 localized weather information and impact monitoring system nitong Biyernes.

“As we face increasing disaster risks, we must move beyond traditional approaches and embrace innovations that provide solutions and open opportunities for a better tomorrow,” ayon kay DOST Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. sa isang pahayag.

“We believe that scientific advancements are not just about immediate responses to natural hazards and consequent disasters; they are about creating long-term solutions that reduce risks and promote sustainable development,” dagdag pa ni Solidum.
