Multi-awarded actress and singer Nadine Lustre is on a mission to find forever homes for some precious pups she rescued from a heart-wrenching situation this week.
Nadine, aka “President Nadine” to her diehard fans, stumbled upon five adorable puppers who were left high and dry. She was floored when she learned their previous owner’s cruel plan: to toss them into the river if no one would take them because there were “too many dogs around.”
Thank the stars, our girl Nadine didn’t stand for that nonsense. She said she rallied some barangay tanods to help her round up these doggos, and now she’s all in, ready to take care of them until they find their forever homes.
“I just couldn’t stand thinking they might die when I could’ve done something to help,” said Lustre, who is a vegan and an environmental advocate.
While two of these little furballs already found their furparents, there were still some cuties looking for their future hoomans, she said.
“If anyone wants to adopt the other puppies, please let me know,” added the 29-year-old actress.
