Filipino shoe designer Jojo Bragais just unveiled his latest masterpiece: a pair of tribute heels named after Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo.
In an Instagram reveal, the celebrated designer showcased the “CHELSEA” pair, dedicated to the 25-year-old stunner from Bulacan.
Describing the shoes as a “celebration of relentless dreamers and resilient underdogs,” he said the design represents those who rise against the odds “in their pursuit of greatness.”
The Pinay beauty was visibly moved when she received her custom silver heels that came with a letter from Jojo, letting her know why she deserved it.
“This is more than just a pair of shoes. It is a tribute to the beauty, resilience, and brilliance you embody. We couldn’t think of a better way to honor your journey than to immortalize it through this tribute pair, and we cannot wait to see you walk and win in them,” it said.
Through happy tears, Chelsea thanked the designer for his unwavering support even before her journey as Miss Universe Philippines. “We’ve been friends back then pa lang, I see and I hear your story, how you support women. So thank you for being that person and thank you for doing that to me,” she said.
