Filipina teen tennis sensation Alex Eala is clearly on cloud nine after snagging what she calls her “biggest titles yet.”
Alex took to Instagram to celebrate her wins at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) W100 Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain, where she swept the singles and doubles titles.
“ITF W100!!! This win means the world to me, it even made me ugly cry. I am so proud because this represents the culmination of so much hard work,” said Alex.
“Securing my biggest titles yet in both singles and doubles is a fairytale finish, and I’m overwhelmed with emotion,” she added.
But this 19-year-old phenom isn’t resting on her laurels. She vowed to use her wins as a launchpad for even greater achievements in her career.
“This will always have a special place in my heart, and I leave here with a pocket full of great memories and the will to work harder,” said Alex.
Last Sunday, Alex won over Victoria Jiménez Kasintseva of Andorra with a score of 6-4, 6-4 in the women’s singles final.
The day before, Alex also lifted the doubles trophy with French partner Estelle Cascino, defeating Lia Karatancheva of Bulgaria and Diana Marcinkevica of Latvia, 6-3, 2-6, 10-4, in the finals.
