Alex Eala is inching closer to her career-best with a new WTA ranking.

Alex Eala just served up a new career milestone after her big win in Mexico, climbing to World No. 61 in the latest WTA rankings.

The 20-year-old tennis star bagged her first-ever WTA125 title at the Guadalajara Open, pulling off a gritty comeback against Hungary’s Panna Uvardy, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Aside from giving her the trophy, her win also bumped her up 14 spots in the rankings, edging closer to her personal best of No. 56.

Adding to her momentum, Eala recently shocked the US Open with her first main draw victory against World No. 15 Clara Tauson in a nail-biting three-setter.
