Pilipinas represent! Pinoy athletes rack up medals in Hong Kong Athletics Championships

The Philippine team harvests three golds, one silver, and one bronze medal in the 2024 Hong Kong Athletics Championships.

Filipino athletes continue to impress on the global stage of sports as the Philippine team had another season of medal hauls, this time in the 2024 Hong Kong Athletics Championships.

In a post on X, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) gave a big shoutout to Hussein Lorana (Men’s 800m), Kristina Knott (Women’s 100m), and Lauren Hoffman (Women’s 400m hurdles) for snagging those gold medals during the competition.

The PSC also lauded Robyn Brown (Women’s 400m hurdles) and Janry Ubas (Men’s Long Jump) for their silver and bronze wins, respectively, in the event at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground last week.

“Congratulations to our Philippine team after earning three golds, a silver, and a bronze medal during the 2024 Hong Kong Athletics Championships,” posted PSC.

Hussein dominated his race, clocking in 1:52.11, while Kristina flew past the competition with a time of 11.52. Lauren and Robyn, meanwhile, nailed 1st and 2nd in their event with times of 57.15 and 57.59, respectively. Janry soared to bronze with a 7.61 mark in the long jump.
