The Philippines secured a spot in the Top 5 Most Affordable Countries for Expats, with four Southeast Asian nations making it to the Top 10.
According to the Expat Insider 2024 survey, Vietnam was named the most affordable destination for expatriates for the fourth year in a row, topping the Personal Finance Index. Indonesia followed at No. 3, while the Philippines ranked fifth and Thailand came in at No. 8.
The index evaluated expats’ satisfaction with their cost of living, financial situation, and disposable household income.
