Davao, Baguio, Cebu, and Manila just proved that the Philippines knows how to clean up. These cities scored major spots in Southeast Asia’s cleanest cities for the 2024 Mid-Year Numbeo Pollution Index.
Davao ranked second, next to Singapore, while Baguio took the fifth spot. Cebu rounded up the Top 10 while Manila also made it to the Top 20 at Rank #14.
Numbeo, the world’s largest crowd-sourced database on city data, ranked these cities based on pollution reviews from locals, taking into account air quality, water pollution, and waste management.
In this year’s report, Singapore took the top spot with the lowest pollution index at 32.5.
