This time it’s not NBA star Stephen Curry stealing the show but the Perpetual Atlas fans, and they’ve managed to one-up Curry’s iconic “Night Night” celebration.
In their recent win against Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, Atlas fans pulled off an epic move: one fan was hoisted on the side, mimicking Curry’s signature sleeping position after a game-changing basket.
As of this writing, the video posted by GMA Sports PH has been viewed 172,000 times and liked by 7,200 netizens.
Even Altas Coach Myk Saguiguit is all in on the fun: “Nakakatuwa! They are the ‘Night, Night Perpetualites’,” he said in an interview with GMA Integrated News.
And much like Curry, the celebration of the “Perpetualites” has started a trend as fans from different NCAA teams are jumping on the next-level “Night Night” celebration bandwagon.
“Kami nagpauso n’on ah. Meron na kaming originality sa NC(AA),” said Coach Myk.
