The Philippines’ ultimate island escapes—Palawan and Boracay—are once again flexing their world-class status.
These two paradise spots just snagged places on the list of the “8 Most Visited Island Destinations in Asia” by India-based travel mag, Times Travel.
In a Facebook post, the Department of Tourism (DOT) shared the news, celebrating Boracay and Palawan for securing their spots among Asia’s top island destinations that travelers can’t get enough of.
Times Travel game Palawan some serious love, calling it the “last frontier” of the Philippines, thanks to its untouched beauty.
“The island is home to the stunning limestone cliffs and turquoise waters of El Nido and Coron. Palawan also boasts the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, a UNESCO World Heritage site,” said Times Travel.
Meanwhile, Boracay continues to be the go-to for beach bums with its iconic powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters.
“White Beach is the most popular spot, known for its lively atmosphere and stunning sunsets. The island offers various water sports and activities, vibrant nightlife, and numerous dining options,” according to Times Travel.
The list also features Bali, Indonesia; Phuket, Thailand; Maldives; Langkawi, Malaysia; Havelock Island, India; and Jeju Island, South Korea.
