Olympian Levi Ruivivar gives back to aspiring gymnasts in the sweetest way

Filipino gymnast Levi Ruivivar gives young gymnasts her pre-loved leotards and shares her desire to inspire future Pinoy Olympians.

Filipino-American gymnast Levi Jung-Ruivivar is gearing up for the Paris 2024 Olympics, but that didn’t stop her from making a heartwarming visit to the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) in Manila to inspire and support aspiring gymnasts.

In an Instagram post by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), Levi is seen sharing some of her pre-loved leotards with young gymnasts training at the GAP headquarters.

“If I can help them in any way in their journey, it will be an honor to be part of their journey and help them and give them any inspiration. I see so much potential and so much talent in the Philippines,” said Levi in an interview with reporters.

Aside from the thoughtful gifts, the 18-year-old Olympian also offered some golden advice to the kids: stay focused on their dreams and keep their passion alive, no matter how tough the journey gets.

“Keep your passion for the sport. It can get you through so much mental, physical hardships as long as you keep pursuing your dreams and fight for everything you have,” she said.

“Filipinos have a lot of fight in them so I feel that that shouldn’t be a problem. Remember to pursue your dreams no matter how hard it gets. It’s not gonna be easy but take your time and enjoy all the experiences,” she added.

Levi is one of the four Filipino gymnasts set to compete in Paris this July. The other three are Carlos Yulo, Emma Malabuyo, and Aleah Finnegan.
