Finally, visiting the Mansion House in Baguio City won’t just be limited to snapping selfies outside its gates.
The iconic summer residence of the Philippine president is now open to the public for tours, allowing tourists to explore beyond its famous gates from Tuesdays to Sundays.
This popular landmark in the City of Pines has always been a hotspot for tourists, with hundreds to thousands flocking daily, including weekends, just for a shot by the gate. But now, Malacañang is rolling out the carpet.
“It reaches up to 2,000 so we would like to open the doors so that people can come inside and take pictures inside,” announced Malacañang’s Social Secretary Bianca Zobel in an Inquirer.net report.
To be able to explore The Mansion House beyond its iconic gates, tourists and locals should book a tour through the website https://museums.gov.ph/. Each tour can accommodate up to 20 people every 30 minutes.
Walk-ins are welcome too, but it’s a first-come, first-served based on availability. “If there is space, let’s say only 15 people arrive, we can put five walk-ins. But it would be better to book a tour,” said Zobel.
