In celebration of the International Women’s Day, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) is giving women free rides on LRT Line 2 on March 8.
The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) announced the good news on Facebook, sharing that the free rides are part of the 2025 National Women’s Month celebration.
Women can enjoy the free rides at all 13 LRT-2 stations from Recto in Manila to Antipolo, Rizal during these time slots: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
To avail, passengers just need to get their free tickets at the ticket booth, according to PCW.
International Women’s Day is celebrated every March 8 to honor women’s achievements, raise awareness on gender equality, and promote women’s empowerment.
