Metallica continues to rock Billboard chart with new No. 1 hit

Metallica secures 14th No. 1 track on Billboard chart.

After their epic resurgence in 2022 with “Master of Puppets” gaining renewed popularity thanks to “Stranger Things,” Metallica is showing the world it’s not going anywhere.

Their latest album, 72 Seasons, has been out for over a year and still cranking out hit after hit. One track, in particular, has climbed the charts and made history for the band.

According to Forbes, “Screaming Suicide” has reached No. 1 on this week’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

ICYMI, this chart from Billboard highlights the rock tracks with the largest audience impressions across U.S. rock radio stations. These stations typically focus on harder rock styles, though the category is not overly restrictive.

With this latest achievement, Metallica has now secured 14 chart-topping hits on this radio ranking. This milestone allows the band to break a tie with another act and join the ranks of those with the third-most No. 1 hits in the chart’s history.
