The iconic Empire State Building gave the ultimate Hollywood tribute, lighting up in Darth Vader’s signature red and black to honor the Star Wars legend, James Earl Jones.
Best known for lending his voice to Star Wars’ Darth Vader for over 40 years, Jones passed away at 93 on September 9.
On the day of his passing, the skyscraper not only glowed in red and black but also projected a silhouette of Darth Vader from his Anakin Skywalker days, all while his unforgettable theme music played in the background.
In an Instagram post, the Empire State Building wrote, “May the Force be with you James Earl Jones,” saluting the actor who lent his voice to one of cinema’s most iconic villains for over four decades.
