Whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks clearly hasn’t met Mami Charito, an inspiring 86-year-old who just became the oldest graduate graduate of Pasig’s Barangay Computer Literacy Program. She’s living proof that learning knows no age limits.
With the wisdom of her years and a heart full of curiosity, Mami Charito embarked on an inspiring journey of lifelong learning.
During their graduation day, Mayor Vico Sotto shared words of wisdom, saying, “Learning is a lifelong process!”
Mami Charito wasn’t alone on this remarkable adventure. The program was a diverse group of graduates, including 21 employees from the Office of General Services and 25 employees from the Office of Social Welfare and Development.
The graduation ceremony was a special occasion, graced by the presence of Mayor Vico, Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski, Jr., Rep. Roman Romulo, and Councilor Simon Tantoco.
Over 3,400 residents, meanwhile, graduated from the Pasig City Livelihood Training Center, according to a politiko.com.ph report.
