Sa wakas, my state university na sa Mountain Province. Ito ay naging posible matapos aprubahan ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ang pag-convert ng Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) bilang Mountain Province State University (MPSU) noong Agosto 28—isang milestone para sa mga taga-Mountain Province.
“On behalf of the Commission, I congratulate the board, faculty and staff, and students of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College for your conversion from a college into a university,” pahayag ni CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III.
Deserve ng MPSPC ang upgrade na ito matapos nilang ma-comply ang lahat ng requirements ng CHED.
“University status, being a distinctive honor, is reserved only to deserving higher educational institutions (HEIs) in the country that have proven their excellence in instruction, research, and extension.
This is a testament to your continuous commitment to delivering quality education to the people of Mountain Province,” dagdag pa ni De Vera.
Ang konbersyon ng MPSPC bilang state university ay pinagtibay sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 12016 na pinirmahan ng Malacañang noong Agosto 1, ayon sa ulat ng Philippine Daily Inquirer.
