Lisa goes full cinematic: The BLACKPINK star suits up for her debut movie ‘Tygo’

Lisa of BLACKPINK is making her movie debut with Korean stars Don Lee and Lee Jin-wook.

Lisa is officially making her big-screen debut, stepping into her first major movie role in the action film “Tygo.”

The BLACKPINK member is joining a powerhouse cast led by Don Lee, known globally for “Train to Busan,” with “Squid Game” star Lee Jin-wook also on board.

The project expands the universe of the hit “Extraction” franchise, which first took off with the 2020 and 2023 films. “Tygo” follows a former child soldier turned mercenary who goes after Korea’s criminal underworld after a mission goes wrong, a setup that puts Lisa right in the middle of a high-intensity storyline.

In a statement, Lisa shared how surreal the moment feels, saying she’s honored to be part of the film and grateful to work with such heavy hitters.

“Being in an action film has always been a dream of mine, and for my first movie role to be in such an exciting action film is a dream come true,” added the K-pop idol who first tried her hand at acting early this year through HBO’s “The White Lotus Season 3.”
