Lisa Manoban is proving that she is the K-pop queen of Spotify after her single “Rockstar” became the fastest song by a K-pop female soloist to reach 200 million streams.
The Thai rapper and BLACKPINK member reached the milestone in only 61 days, surpassing her own record for “Money,” which reached 200 million streams in 65 days. “Money” currently has 1.2 billion streams on Spotify, All Kpop reported.
BLACKPINK members have been ruling the streaming platform with their solo projects since they started releasing individual albums, as every member hit the 200 million mark at different intervals.
It took Jisoo 84 days to reach 200 million, while Jennie’s latest project “You and Me” took 307 days to get there. Rose’s “OTG” took a little over a year with 394 days before joining the club with her BP sisters.
Early this year, BLACKPINK renewed their contract with YG Entertainment for group activities but chose to go a different route for solo activities, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa established their own labels while Rose opted to sign with YG sister company The Black Label for her solo endeavors.
