Karla Estrada’s #1 parenting hack: Let your kids make mistakes!

Actress-host Karla Estrada spills tea on teaching her kids not to be afraid of making mistakes, as long as they learn from them.

As the saying goes, “There are no mistakes, only lessons in life.” This is the life mantra actress and host Karla Estrada instills in her children, reminding them that mistakes aren’t the end of the world as long as they learn from them.

“As a mother, I always pray for the best para sa mga anak ko. I always pray na maging better sila. Sana pag dumadaan sila sa mga pagsubok, sana maganda ang lessons nila. Kasi kailangan mo magkamali para may matutunan ka at mas maging maayos at mabuti kang tao,” said Karla in her interview with broadcaster Bernadette Sembrano on her vlog.

“Ang tinuro ko sa mga anak ko, pwede kayo madapa at masaktan but learn from it,” she added.

Karla admitted that even she, too, subscribes to this mantra as she approaches her 50th birthday.

“Hindi pwede tumigil ang buhay. Lahat nagkakamali… Kahit ako, mag 50 na ako, hindi pa din perfect buhay ko,” she said.

While her children deal with their mistakes in life, Karla assured that she’ll always be there to support them. “It’s an exercise for my children na hindi sila dapat nakatanghod agad sa akin tuwing may problema… Pero andito lang ako lagi para sa kanila,” she said.

Karla also urged fellow parents to consistently support their children, no matter the situation. “Huwag tayo mapagod sa kaka-advise sa mga anak natin. Huwag tayo mapagod kakapaalala sa kanila. Darating ang araw magiging magulang din sila. Kaya yung magaganda mong sinabi, bitbit nila yun pag sila na yung magulang,” she emphasized.
