K-pop king G-Dragon adds ‘professor’ to his impressive resume, and fans are shook!

G-Dragon has been appointed as a visiting professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

K-pop icon G-Dragon has added another feather to his cap. After slaying as a composer, producer, singer, rapper, artist, and designer, he’s now stepping into the academic world as a professor.

According to Koreaboo, G-Dragon has been appointed as a visiting professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

This follows his appearance at the “Innovate Korea 2024” talk show, held at KAIST in Daejeon last June 5, where he discussed future technologies related to AI and K-pop, along with Galaxy Corporation’s CEO Choi Yong Ho and KAIST President Lee Kwang Hyung.

G-Dragon’s gig as a visiting professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering will run until June 4, 2026. He’s also stepping up as a global ambassador for KAIST, ready to drop some serious knowledge on leadership and inspire students with his wealth of experiences as an artist. “It is an honor to be a visiting professor at KAIST, which produces many scientific geniuses. I look forward to great synergy between the best experts in science and technology and my expertise in entertainment,” he said. Throughout his career, G-Dragon has been a total game-changer in music and fashion. With this new role, he is once again expected to break boundaries between art and technology to maximize new trends in the entertainment industry.
