Filipino actor Joshua Garcia is on cloud nine after landing the voiceover gig for the Tagalog dub of “Inside Out 2,” which is set to stream on Disney+.
In an Instagram post, Joshua shared his excitement about voicing the character Lance Slashblade, a video game hero introduced in the sequel to the hit animated film.
“Joy is in control in my emotional HQ rn,” he captioned, playfully referencing the “Inside Out” character that embodies happiness.
At a media conference, Joshua shared his newfound respect for voice acting, calling it a challenging but rewarding experience.
“Ang gandang experience niya sa akin kasi doon ko nakita and the value na hindi madali ang maging voice actor, napakahirap na trabaho niya,” said the 26-year-old star.
Lance Slashblade is Riley’s secret childhood crush, adding a fun twist to the movie.
“While doing it, akala ko madali lang. Ang hirap pala niya para, siyang may kailangan kang hawakan habang nilalabas mo ‘yung emosyon doon sa sinasalita mo para lang maging mas expressive ka,” he added.
“Inside Out 2” will stream on Disney+ starting September 25.
