In 2021, “Blue’s Clues & You” introduced the beloved Pinoy treat bibingka to kids everywhere, thanks to its Filipino host Josh Dela Cruz. Now, he might have just found the next Pinoy dish worthy of a feature: lumpia!
Pinoy food content creator Abi Marquez recently collaborated with Josh to whip up some crispy lumpiang togue (spring rolls with bean sprouts), and of course, she documented the fun collab on Instagram.
“Cooking up clues and crispy lumpiang toge with @itsjoshdelacruz,” Abi wrote, adding that this veggie-packed lumpia, sometimes called lumpiang gulay or lumpiang toge, is a lowkey but beloved Filipino favorite.
In the video, Abi brought her signature playful energy as she prepped and fried the golden-brown rolls, while Josh joined in on the action, complete with his iconic lines from the children’s show.
Even Filipino-Australian singer grentperez made a cameo, eagerly grabbing a bite of the crunchy dish.
