Jodi Sta. Maria’s 13-year wait for annulment finally ends: ‘Trust in God’s timing’

After 13 years of waiting, actress Jodi Sta. Maria’s marriage annulment is finally granted, and she praises God’s perfect timing.

Trust in God’s timing. This was how actress Jodi Sta. Maria summed up her 13-year wait for the annulment of her marriage to Panfilo “Pampi” Lacson Jr., which was finally granted by the Supreme Court this month.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the actress reflected on her journey and offered encouragement to those in similar situations, emphasizing the importance of trusting in God’s timing.

“I know some of you might be in His waiting room. May I encourage you with this? ‘When the time is right I, the Lord, will make it happen.’- Isaiah 60:22,” wrote Jodi.

Jodi described her ordeal as “a test of faith and trust,” sharing that her time in God’s “waiting room” was not easy or comfortable.

“It was frustrating, discouraging, and even heartbreaking. I cried, prayed, questioned, and complained. I made ‘tampo,’ asked forgiveness, prayed some more. I wanted to give up but He never let go of me,” revealed the award-winning actress.

Expressing gratitude to her “prayer warriors” and lawyer Connie Jimenez-Aquino of the Calleja Law Office for not giving up on her case, Jodi concluded her post with a victorious “Now I can finally say… CASE CLOSED.”

Celebrities and friends took to the comment section to celebrate the actress’ good news:

“Jodi! Congratulations! Your long wait is over! Big, big hug, anak! God’s timing is always so perfect! Love you,” said Coney Reyes.

“Let’s celebrate. Love you amor!” commented Iwa Moto, Pampi’s current partner.

“God’s timing is truly perfect! Love you!!!” added Iza Calzado.
