Voice actress and content creator Inka Magnaye recently shared an incident where she called out a guy for shaming a woman for using dating apps while not holding himself to the same standard.
According to Inka, the guy was calling the woman names for being on the same app he was using, justifying his behavior with the excuse, “I’m a guy.” She challenged this double standard, pointing out that it’s not right for men and women to be judged differently for the same actions.
She emphasized that women who call out misogynistic views aren’t being problematic and argumentative but are simply addressing unfair biases.
Inka also stressed the importance of correcting these harmful perspectives, especially when double standards are involved, and added that differing views shouldn’t be used to judge someone’s character. According to her, communication is key to fostering better understanding between genders.
