In a tear-jerking Instagram reel, Isabelle Daza finally met with Elvie Vergara, a kasambahay reportedly abused by her employers in Occidental Mindoro, and handed her a Php1 million manager’s check—a result of a successful fundraiser the actress-socialite initiated back in September.
Isabelle was deeply moved by Elvie’s heartbreaking story, detailing years of abuse from her employers in Occidental Mindoro that left her partially blind and many other injuries.
“Mayroon po akong maliit na regalo po sayo. Kasi nalaman ko ang kwento mo, nanood ako ng news at sa tulong ng lahat ng mga followers ko po at lahat ng mga nanood ng story mo, meron silang nadonate po para sayo,” said Isabelle.
She went on to explain that the donation was a gift to fund her medical needs and her future. “Itong donation po namin is regalo namin sa inyo dahil sa lahat po ng pinagdaanan niyo po,” she said, also thanking all the generous souls who pitched in.
Isabelle also wrote on her IG post: “To those who donated you have helped change a life. And thank you for trusting me that I wouldn’t scam you lol.”
Friends, netizens, and fans flooded Isabelle’s post with praises and hearts for her kindness.
