Iloilo Bike Fest is making a Guinness World Record attempt—Here’s the tea

Thousands of cycling enthusiasts are set to break the Guinness world record for the largest human bike image at the 10th year of the Iloilo Bike Festival on July 27.

The 10th year of the Iloilo Bike Festival won’t be a typical celebration. Around 5,000 cycling enthusiasts are going the extra mile to smash the Guinness world record for the largest human bike image to mark a full decade of this annual event.

“It will be icing on the cake for the 10th anniversary of the Iloilo Bike Festival,” Festival Director Wilfredo Sy Jr. said in a recent press conference, as reported by the Philippine News Agency.

The activity, dubbed “Pedal Pride: Guinness World Record Attempt,” is set for July 27 and is just one highlight in a weeklong celebration from July 20 to 28 prepared by the growing Ilonggo cycling community to show unity in their shared passion.

At present, Moscow holds the record with 2,620 participants set on July 13, 2019.
