Saving animals is a beautiful thing. And since it was founded by Malou Perez, the Pawssion project has created an awareness about the need to provide loving homes for native breeds of animals.
In a recent interview by Schild Studios, she shared how adopting animals transformed the lives not just of the animals who received forever homes but also the adopters who welcomed them into their homes.
“And what’s just beautiful with this advocacy is that you don’t just change the lives of the animals that you rescue. You actually change the lives of so many people. The adopters telling us how much the animals have saved them, especially during the pandemic,” she said.
During the pandemic, the animals became a source of comfort and support for so many people, and even after, adopters have found such joy in the love of the grateful animals who have become part of their families.
“When I started rescuing these animals, I realized I’m actually the one being rescued in the end because my life has gotten so much meaning and purpose,” she explained.
She added that she is also thankful for the messages of so many people who thank her for the work that she does, and also those who have followed her suit and started their own rescue programs as well.
