HUNTR/X Rei Ami defends BABYMONSTER: ‘Putting down other artists to uplift your favs is lame’

Rei Ami is calling out regressive behavior of “KPop Demon Hunters” fans and calls for positivity.

OG HUNTR/X Rei Ami is shutting down bashers of BABYMONSTERS’ performance of “Golden” at the 2025 MAMA Awards.

Rei, who did the singing voice of HUNTR/X member Zoey in “Kpop Demon Hunters” said that contrary to the gatekeepers who want only the originals to perform the song, putting others down to uplift their own biases is uncool.

She also called out commenters who only seek to pit women against other women and said that this behavior is regressive. Instead of bashing, she called on true fans of the franchise to support artists who are paying homage to their music.

“Putting down other groups/artists to uplift your favs is lame. Keep it positive or stfu— stop putting down other women and pitting them against each other. That kind of behavior is exhausting and regressive,” she said.

She also shone the spotlight on the pressure of being put under the microscope.
