There’s a new bucket-list-worthy destination for anime lovers this Christmas, and they don’t even need to fly overseas.
A new Ghibli-inspired park has sprung to life in Bayambang, Pangasinan, just in time for the festive season. Launched on November 17, “Paskuhan sa Bayambang” is the ultimate anime haven, taking cues from Japan’s Studio Ghibli theme park.
Fans of Ghibli animation will be treated to sights inspired by characters like Totoro, Cat Bus, No-Face, Yubaba, Moro, Kiki and Jiji, Laputian Robot, Ponyo, Calcifer, and a Howl’s Moving Castle—all perfect for Instagram selfies.
“Paskuhan sa Bayambang” is just a four-hour drive from Manila, making it a great holiday destination for the entire family.
The project is a collaboration between the local government and Couple Minds Event Studios, which shared more snaps of the amazing displays.
