With over 200 local and international exhibitors joining this year’s Manila International Book Fair (MIBF), Pinoy bookworms and those battling a bad (or good) case of tsundoku, are in for another year of literary adventure.
The MIBF, virtually a playground for every book enthusiast, will set up shop this year at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City from Sept. 14-17, with exhibitors ranging from local and international publishers to libraries and art and craft suppliers. Entrance, this time, is free.

Since it started 40 years ago, the MIBF has been serving up a wide array of bestselling fiction novels, autobiographies, educational, business, inspirational and spiritual, comics, and magazines to the delight of book lovers.
Even at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MIBF found a way to bring their books to Pinoy homes through its virtual book fair platform.
But nothing beats the feeling of navigating through a maze of bookshelves, touching books, and smelling them. So it’s a good thing that the longest-running book fair in the country will be bringing in a diverse selection of books, including limited editions, this year.
Participants also get the chance to catch up with their favorite authors and ask for autographs, and meet comic artists and Wattpad superstars.
