They are currently looking for assistant nurses, caregivers, IT professionals, restaurant staff, and hotel and tourism workers.
Under a recent agreement between the Philippines’ Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and Finland’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Filipino workers are assured of fair treatment, workplace protections, and equal pay with Finnish employees.
Salaries vary by sector, with healthcare and IT professionals among the highest earners. For instance, nurses and caregivers can earn up to ₱200,000 monthly, while senior IT roles offer similar compensation. Finland’s minimum wage for foreign workers starts at €1,600 (approximately ₱96,500), depending on the job.
But wait, there’s more! Workers who meet the income threshold can bring their families, with support for spouses seeking jobs and schooling options for children.
There is a growing demand for healthcare professionals due to Finland’s aging population, so opportunities are set to grow even more in the coming years. Currently, around 12,770 Filipinos are living and working in Finland.
To apply, interested individuals need a valid job offer from a Finnish employer listed by the DMW, a work visa through the Enter Finland platform, and required documents like proof of qualifications, employment contracts, and health insurance.
