Imagine going from $0 income to $12 a day, all thanks to Aboitiz Data Innovation’s (ADI) groundbreaking efforts.
ADI, on a mission to change lives beyond just tech innovation, has teamed up with Connected Women to empower women in the Philippines through the Elevate AIDA (Artificial Intelligence & Digital Annotation) program.
Recently, ADI scored a massive win at the prestigious Asian Technology Excellence Awards, showcasing their dedication to social empowerment in the digital age.
“Our goal is to give opportunities for women using technology,” said Ruth Yu-Owen, Connected Women Co-Founder, highlighting the transformative power of this partnership.
This collab isn’t just about AI—it’s about creating jobs and preparing women for the future of work.
“We’ve partnered with ADI and I’m happy to say that the women who work on this project are so thankful because they went from 0 income to 12 dollars a day – that means food on the table and they can help provide for their families. This is proof that AI is not taking away jobs from people,” she said.
“We see this as a long-term solution for Filipino women, so they don’t have to leave the country,” she added.
ADI isn’t just pushing boundaries, but also rewriting the story of innovation and social impact. And it’s not lip service. Connected Women, backed by Aboitiz Group of Companies, has already trained 339 women.
Sabin Aboitiz, Chief Engagement Officer of Aboitiz Group, has big dreams for this partnership—they’re looking to scale up the collaboration and train 300,000 women in the next three years.
