The Philippines is hosting the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women's World Cup in 2025.

The Philippines is set to make history as it prepares to host the very first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup next year.

In a social media post, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced that the Philippines is the chosen destination for this groundbreaking event.

“Ready to make history! 🤩 The Philippines will host the first-ever FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in 2025! 👏” said FIFA.

In a statement, the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) welcomed the announcement, saying it is a humbling experience to be given such a privilege.

“We are both humbled and honored by the faith and confidence that FIFA has placed in the Philippine Football Federation to stage a historic event, not just for football and futsal, but for women’s sport,” said PFF President John Anthony Gutierrez.

He said the country is upbeat over the opportunity to host the best female futsal players in the world, while similarly showcasing the game to the next generation.

“The PFF is excited to showcase to the world our world-class Filipino hospitality, and we are eager to use this event to inspire millions of children, especially girls, across the country to play the beautiful game,” said John.

Aside from the host Philippines, the inaugural 2025 Futsal Women’s World Cup will feature 15 other nations, who will qualify for the event.
