Experience the Force! Star Wars hits the big screen with live symphony in the Philippines

Bringing the magic of the Star Wars universe to the Philippines, "Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert" vows to deliver an otherworldly musical and cinematic experience for Pinoys.

For the first time ever, Filipino Star Wars fans are in for a one-of-a-kind Star Wars experience.

“Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert” will grace the big screen accompanied by a live symphonic concert. Film Concerts PH made the announcement on Instagram, revealing the event set for September 7 and 8, 2024 at The Theatre at Solaire Resort in Parañaque City.

“We’re bringing a galaxy far, far away to the big screen with a full orchestra for Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert! Experience the film that started it all like you’ve never before, for the first time in the Philippines!” said Film Concerts PH.

“Fans will be able to experience the scope and grandeur of this beloved film in a live symphonic concert experience,” it added.

The show will feature Manila-based orchestra “The Filharmonika Orchestra,” led by conductor Gerard Salonga, who is also the orchestra’s founder. Together, they will perform the iconic music of legendary composer John Williams.

Known for scoring all nine Star Wars saga films, Williams earned an Academy Award for Best Original Score for his work on “Star Wars: A New Hope” in 1977.
