Filipino pride EJ Obiena has been soaring to new heights in overseas pole vaulting competitions for years. But his recent triumph at the Cathedral Jumping Event in Aachen, Germany is the stuff of legends.
EJ didn’t just win gold, he did it in style. He shared a clip of himself effortlessly clearing the 5.92-meter mark during the competition, all while riding the edgy tempo of “Bagsakan.”
The crowd, with many Filipinos in the mix, transformed the competition into an epic party, clapping and singing along to the song to amp up the vibe.
“Unique experience to say the least. Danke schön!!!,” the Pinoy pole vaulting legend said.
