Celebrity couple Marco Gumabao and Christine Reyes have been making hearts melt since they confirmed their relationship in early 2023, and it’s clear their bond is built on so much more than just love and care.
In their interview with broadcaster Karen Davila on her vlog, Cristine shared how Marco helped her reconnect with the world around her and with her faith after she had closed herself off following the heartbreak of her marriage with Ali Khatibi.
“Ayoko lumalabas. Stay at home lang. Kinulong ko sarili ko. Siya nagbukas ng mundo sa akin ulit,” shared the actress.
“For a time, when I got separated, nagtampo ako kay Lord, I dont want to go to church anymore. Eventually, siya nag open sa akin na bumalik ulit,” she added.
But it wasn’t just her faith that Marco helped restore. He also played a huge role in her reconciliation with her sister, actress Ara Mina, and their mom.
Marco’s wisdom on forgiveness really struck a chord with Christine.
“Ang sarap sa feeling na okay ang relationship mo sa parents mo. And I want her to feel that. Lagi ko sinasabi sa kanya na what happened in the past is past na. In order to release your baggage, you have to learn to forgive,” shared Marco.
