On stage, BTS’s Suga commands sold-out arenas but off stage, he’s the quiet student who shows up early, reads the entire textbook, and blends right in, literally.
After donating $5 billion won to Severance Children’s Hospital for its autism program, Suga (aka Min Yoongi) also enrolled in a social work course at Seoul National University Hospital.
According to Professor Yoo Soo-yeon, who spoke to Indian Express, Suga joined the class without fanfare. He consistently arrived early, read the full 500-page textbook, and participated actively.
Most of his classmates didn’t recognize him at first, and even spoke about him to their parents, unaware they were referring to a member of BTS.
He also used his musical skills to support the children, exploring how music could be used in their development.
Prof. Cheon about Yoongi during his volunteer work : "all the way through the program with SUGA ssi, I felt that Ah, this person really isn’t just a simple donor. Throughout the program, he never once showed up late, in fact, he would arrive earlier than me"

The professor said Suga didn’t act like a celebrity and was very sincere in learning about social work, especially in how it relates to pediatric patients and mental health support.
“He never missed a session, showed up before everyone else to practice, he tried hard to meet the kids at their level. His joy was visible, and we were all moved by his sincerity. He wasn’t a guest. He was one of us,” said the professor.
