BTS RM’s generosity sparks deaf student’s K-pop dreams!

BTS RM’s generous donation to a school for the deaf inspired one of its students to pursue a career in K-pop.

BTS RM’s generosity knows no bounds. Despite his military service, his 2019 gift of 100 million KRW to a deaf school has ignited the dreams of one student to pursue K-pop stardom.

Jiseok, a member of Big O!cean, the first deaf boy group in K-pop history, credits the BTS leader for paving the way for his career in music despite his handicap, thanks to RM’s generous donation to his school’s music program.

Inspired by RM’s support, Jiseok is now living his dream as a K-pop idol. He also expressed his desire to collaborate with RM in the future, highlighting how RM’s kindness ignited his passion for music and dance.

Big O!cean, a group gaining attention, is under PARASTAR Entertainment and focuses on S-Pop, or Sign Language Pop, using Korean Sign Language (KSL), American Sign Language (ASL), and International Sign Language (ISL) to make their music inclusive.
